Whereas in comparison, a Formal Report should be written for longer more detailed explanations, and this should be written along with references. THE MEANING AND THE USE OF STRUCTURE In relation to the structure, try not to write a report with an explanation of all the dealings in one paragraph. When writing give a number of different angles to give an in-depth understanding. Write using a structure. Structure your writing under headings. Working like this and using a structure will allow the reader to take-in what you have written on the one subject before moving on to the next.
Then to increase the understanding of the Informal Report, interpret it as below. Such a structured format would assist the reader assess the reports meaning, also taking into account the speed of understanding for the reader. 1. Title page 2. Summary 3. Introduction 4. STRUCTURE AND CONTENT Firstly, provide the report's Title page. This needs to include the title of the report, who the report is for, who it has been written by, and finally the date. Secondly give a Summary, explain the subject and the important points that have been made. Complete this at the end, which can then be placed here at the beginning. When Introducing what you will be discussing, say why you will be talking about the subject. Then explain why you have been asked to write the report. Such an answer should highlight the need for your written work. Then write about your Findings of the report. Explain what you have found. Finally, explain how the situation could be resolved using the facts you have just given in the Findings. Recommend how you could overcome the problems using the facts you have supplied. The last points of the recommendation should provide the reader with a connecting thought to link the reports structure together. Everything will be explained in the example.
