Let us assure them of our prayer and fraternal support as they begin their common life which has its own share of the joys and sorrows of this world. And peace to his people on Earth. Lord, God, heavenly King, Almighty God and Father, we worship You, we give You thanks, we praise You for Your glory. Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father: Lord God, Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. You are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer. For You alone are the Holy One, You alone are the Lord, You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

PRIEST:

Let us pray. Father, You have made the bond of marriage a holy mystery, a symbol of Christs love for His Church. Hear our prayers for CARLO and HAZEL. With faith in You and in each other they pledge their love today. May their lives always bear witness to the reality of that love. We ask You this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. LITURGY OF THE WORD

ALL:

FIRST READING A reading from the Book of Sirach : (26:1-4; 13-16) Reader: Happy the husband of a good wife, twice-lengthened are his days; A worthy wife brings joy to her husband, peaceful and full is his life. A good wife is a generous gift bestowed upon him who fears the LORD; Be he rich or poor, his heart is content, and a smile is ever on his face. A gracious wife delights her husband, her thoughtfulness puts flesh on his bones; A gift from the LORD is her governed speech, and her firm virtue is of suprassing

worth. Choicest of blessings is a modest wife, priceless her chaste person. Like the sun rising in the LORDS heavens, the beauty of a virtuous wife is the radiance of her home. The Word of the Lord... RESPONSORIAL PSALM LEADER: Let our response be: THE EARTH IS FULL OF THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD. THE EARTH IS FULL OF THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD. They are happy, whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own. The Lord looks on those who revere Him, on those who hope in His love. THE EARTH IS FULL OF THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD. Our soul is waiting for the Lord; the Lord is our help and our shield. In Him do our hearts find joy. We trust in His Holy Name. THE EARTH IS FULL OF THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD. May the love be upon us Lord, as we put all our hope in you. THE EARTH IS FULL OF THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD.

READER:

A reading from the letter of Paul to the Ephesians.

Wives should be submissive to their husbands as thuough to the Lord; because the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the Church, His body, of which He is also the Saviour. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ love the Church and gave Himself up for her to make her holy. Husbands should love their wives as they love their own bodies. He who loves his wife, loves himself. No one ever hates his own flesh; no, he nourishes and takes care of it, just as Christ does for the Church, because we are members of His body. For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cling to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This is a great symbol of the love of Christ for His Church. But in any case, each of you should love his wife just as he loves himself; and the wife should also revere husband. The Word of the Lord. ALL: Thanks be to God.

Commentator: Please stand to honor the Gospel. ACCLAMATION: (Standing) ALL: PRIEST: ALL: Alleluia, alleluia. If we love one another, God will live in us in perfect love. Alleluia, alleluia.

PRIEST: ALL:

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark. Glory to You, O Lord. But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother (and be joined to his wife), and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.: THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD.
