What we do
Torfaen Citizens Advice Bureau is a voluntary organisation. Our trustees and all the receptionists and Advisors you see are people from your community who offer their time willingly and freely. All are trained to our high standards to help local people with any problems they may have. They are an invaluable part of the service, which is entirely dependant on the numbers of volunteers we have. If you think you could help others from your community with the problems they may have and/or would like to help us improve the service in general, then please get in touch
Volunteers do not require specific qualifications or experience, just a willingness to help others. We will provide full training and support We will pay all the expenses you incur whilst training and volunteering with us. Training is generally half day per week and takes up to three months depending on the role and pace at which you work. However we are extremely flexible and try to accommodate what ever needs you have. Increase your confidence and skills Meet more people Be part of a successful team Gain invaluable work experience Obtain a certificate in Advice Work, whilst Helping your community
