1.1Installation
When you are ready to install a theme, you must first upload the theme files and then activate the theme itself. The theme files can be uploaded in two ways: FTP Upload: Using your FTP program, upload the non-zipped theme folder into the /wpcontent/themes/ folder on your server. Page 1
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
Some of these post formats will have their own custom options. These custom options will only appear once the format is selected. 2.1.1Standard The standard format will show the title and content and does not have any custom options. 2.1.2Aside The aside format will show just the content. No title or featured images will be displayed. This is good for small snippets of text. 2.1.3Gallery The gallery format will display all the images attached to that post. To attach an image to the post, simply upload your images using the media uploader whilst creating or editing the post. Make sure you upload more than one image. If you only want to show one image, use the Image Post Format instead. These images will be resized to fit the theme dimensions of 600px x unlimited. 2.1.4Link The link format has one custom option called The URL. This is where you place the link URL. The title of the post will be the link text. 2.1.5Image The image format will display the title, content and a featured image. Make sure to create a featured image for this post format. The featured image will be resized automatically to the following dimensions of 600px x unlimited.

2.1.6Quote The quote format has one option called The Quote which is where you provide the quote content. This format will display the quote along with some content if you choose to have any. 2.1.7Audio The audio format displays the title and content along with a custom audio player. You will have two custom options to fill. The first is the link to an .mp3 file and the second is to an .ogg or .oga file. Its important to fill out both in order for the audio player to work in all browsers. If you only supply one then be aware that the file may not work everywhere. This format has two optional options, Audio Poster Image and Poster Image Height. If you wish to show an image alongside your player, populate the above with the URL to your image. Ensure to specify the height of the image to ensure correct display across all browsers. 2.1.8Video The video format displays the title and content along with a custom video or an embedded player depending on the options you have selected. If youre using the self-hosted video solution you will need to provide both .m4v and .ogv files in order for the video to work in all browsers. You can also provide an optional Poster Image by providing a URL to an image on your server. This will operate as a video preview. If youre using embedded video such as YouTube or Vimeo, youll need to simply paste the code provided to you in the embedded field. The embedded options override all other options, so if you want to use the custom video solution then make sure the embed fields are empty.
