Derivative of Trigonometric Function

The document discusses the derivatives of trigonometric functions. It defines the derivatives of sin, cos, tan, sec, cosec, and cot functions. The derivatives follow patterns where the sin function becomes the cos function and vice versa when differentiated. It also discusses the derivatives of inverse trigonometric functions which take an inverse form. Finally, it provides an example of finding the derivative of sin(2s) to demonstrate using trigonometric identities when taking derivatives of trigonometric functions with varying arguments.

Derivative Of Trigonometric Function

Derivative Of Trigonometric Function In mathematics, there are several trigonometric functions that are used in different ways in different types of concepts. So sometimes there is need to find the derivative of the trigonometric function for calculations. So there are some Derivatives of Trig Functions that are defined as follows: In differentiation, sin functions will change in cos function and cos function in sin function with negative symbol and there are also some other rules for other trigonometric functions as follows: d / d s sin p (s) = cos p (s) d p (s) / d s. d / d s cos p (s) = - sin p (s) d p (s) / d s. d / d s tan p (s) = sec2p (s) d p (s) / d s. d / d s sec p (s) = sec p (s) tan p (s) d p (s) / d s. d / d coses p (s) = - cosec p (s) cot p (s) d p (s) / d s. d / d s cot p (s) = - cosec 2p (s) d p (s) / d s.

We can also describe some derivatives of inverse of trigonometric functions that are used in several types of problems are expressed as: Results of inverse of trigonometric functions are also in inverse form means they have the exponent value -1 and they are expressed as: d / d s (1 / sin ) p (s) = 1 / 1 p2 (s) d p (s) / d s. d / d s (1 / cos ) p (s) = - 1 / 1 p2 (s) d p (s) / d s. d / d s (1 / tan ) p (s) = 1 / 1 + p2 (s) d p (s) / d s. d / d s (1 / sec ) p (s) = 1 / p (s) (p2 (s) 1) d p (s) / d s. d / d s (1 / cosec ) p (s) = -1 / p (s) (p2 (s) 1) d p (s) / d s. d / d s (1 / cot ) p (s) = -1 / 1 + p2 (s) d p (s) / d s. There are some other ways for calculations of the derivative of trigonometric functions as we know tan (s) . sec (s) , cot (s) and cosec (s) are all trigonometric functions are expressed in the form of sin (s) and cos (s) ,so these all trigonometric functions are calculated as: d / d s (tan (s)) = sec 2 (s) = 1 + tan 2 (s) . d / d s (cot (s)) = -cosec 2 (s) = -1 - cot 2 (s) . We define it by an example as if there is function as sin (2s) then find the derivative of the given function as we can write the function sin (2s) = 2 sin (s) cos (s) and by differentiation we get, d / d s sin (2s) = 2 ( cos (s) cos (s) sin (s) sin (s) = 2 (sin 2 (s) cos 2 (s)) And when we further will solve it by using the trigonometric identities and get,

d / d s ( sin (2s)) = 2 cos (2s). And when we further will solve it by using the trigonometric identities and get, d / d s ( sin (2s)) = 2 cos (2s). And when we further will solve it by using the trigonometric identities and get, d / d s ( sin (2s)) = 2 cos (2s). And when we further will solve it by using the trigonometric identities and get, d / d s ( sin (2s)) = 2 cos (2s).
