LEARNING STANDARD

OBJECTIVE

By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able: a. Use the knowledge of phonemes taught in Year 1. b. articulate the phonemes in the words and let the pupils say the word aloud correctly.

TIME TEACHING AIDS ACTIVITY

09.40 a.m. 11.10 a.m ( 90 minutes ) Sentence strips, alphabet letters , marker and whiteboard TEACHING AND LEARNING STRATEGY Listening and Speaking. Guided Reading NOTES Refer to the words on the board. Refer to the sentences on the board. Eg. Go strainght ad turn right. We are at toilet.

1. Teacher invites pupils to talk about the lesson that they learnt . 2. Teacher reads the directions that show the places in the school while pupils follow.

3. Carry out the activity as individually or in groups. 4. Read the sentence. Pupils identify all the words with the pictures in their.textbook 5. Pupils say the words in pairs.

5. Teacher prepares more sentences strips with words having the same initial saound. Assessment : 1. Pupils are able to know the names of places in the school . 2. By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to :. 1) Complete the missing words with personal proouns correctly. 2) Identifying the personal pronouns correctly.

ACTIVITY

1. Teacher introduces the lesson about personal pronouns by using the textbook.Ask the pupils to list down the personal pronouns that they can find in the conversation in their textbook. 2. Pupils answer the question orally . 3. Teacher explains about the lesson using the board. 4. Ask pupils to answer the question in their activity book. 5. Pupils complete the activity given by the teacher .
