The Truth About
The Source of Truth Truth comes from God. We need to read God's word so we can understand God's truth. If we know God's truth we can be saved and worship God in a way that pleases Him. I the LORD speak the truth; I declare what is right. - Isaiah 45:19 God has told us His truth through His word the Bible (Psalm 119:160). The Bible tells us the truth about God, about ourselves, about Jesus Christ, about salvation, and about God's plan with the earth.

Worship in Spirit and Truth God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:24 When we worship God, we need to be thinking, hearing and saying the right things about God and about His plan. When we worship Him, we must do as Paul said: Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 When we present ourselves to God in worship He will only be pleased with us if we are doing our best to understand and teach His truth.
God Wants us to Learn His Truth
God...desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. - 1Timothy 2:3-4 God wants us to learn and understand His truth because He wants us to be saved.

If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32 We learn the truth by reading and understanding God's word for ourselves. Only the truth will set us free from sin and death.
We can only know the truth of the Bible if we spend time reading and studying it for ourselves. It is important to compare what we believe with what God's W ord really says, so that we are sure we are believing the truth and not error. Your righteousness is righteous forever, and your law is true... I hate and abhor falsehood but I love Your law. Psalm 119:142,163
God wants everyone to know the Truth
No knowledge, no life
Ecumenism is the spirit of our age: all faiths are equal; everyone is right. This is not Gods view. Salvation is only in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:10-12); and even believers in him need to find the TRUTH.
You must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them Ephesians 4:17-18 People unaware of the TRUTH will not be judged for their sins; they just remain unconscious in death. Romans 2:12; Psalm 49:20; Ecclesiastes 9:5-6,10
Attitude alone is not enough
It is a common mis-conception that if one holds the right attitude, then everything will be OK. There are many examples in the Bible that goes against this view: 1 Chronicles 13 v3-4 Desire to serve God 1 Chonicles 15 Desire to serve God v1 v2,13 v5 v7 v8 All Israel gathered New Cart Singing, harps, psalteries, cymbals, trumpets Uzza lends a hand v3 v12 David reads the law All Israel gathered Levites
