The sub-committee selected 35 candidates for the Academic Paper management Track, 6 for the Practical Paper management Track, and 5 for the Secretariat, based on requirements like being an EASTS member with at least 4 years of transportation research experience. International Scientific Committee of the EASTS Report of Recruitment of New Committee Members 2012-2013

Since this April, the Recruitment Sub-Committee (RSC) has recruited new members of the International Scientific Committee (ISC) of the EASTS. Fortunately, we have got a lot of splendid candidates from many countries especially in eastern Asia, as well, from various fields. In the selection, we have the following requirements those are the same as the last recruitment; - must be an EASTS member - must have five or more years of full-time work experience in transportation-related research or practical fields, after having received a title of either doctoral degree or APEC engineer (or other professional title officially certified as equivalent to APEC engineers). - must have enough capability for reviewing papers and passion for the activities of the EASTS-ISC. However, we changed the second requirement, to must have four or more, considering that we should have more members than before. As a result, we have chosen the following 35 candidates for Academic Paper management Track (APT), 6 candidates for Practical Paper management Track (PPT), and 5 candidates for Secretariat as new members of ISC. Unfortunately, we rejected 3 applicants because of the shortage of years after getting Dr. or Ph.D. degree. The RSC strongly hope that the following 46 new members would make a great contribution to any activity of the ISC.
