The Derik Group of Companies was founded in 1987 in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, India by Mr. F Stalin to provide quality services across various industries. Over the years, it has expanded to include automobile dealerships, manufacturing of fishing nets and nylon yarn, energy generation, exports, and retail. It has grown from a small two-wheeler showroom to a diversified group with operations across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, employing thousands of people.

Abstract
Derik Group of Companies based at Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, India was set up with the objective of providing its customers with quality service based on their requirements. Derik Group has enjoyed an impressive record of consistent growth and superior performance over the years. Director's Profile

Mr. F Stalin, the person behind the various ventures of the group , a former NRI who has settled down in India, in the mid eighties. After completing his Automobile Engineering Diploma started his 30 years of hard core experience in dealing with automobile products The thirst for multifaceted business operation added array of several Distributorship notably Honda Siel, Dealership of Hyundai Cars, and Wind Energy Farm He was awarded and appreciated by TVS MOTOR COMPANY LTD ,HYUNDAI INDIA LTD , and HONDA SIEL LTD for the dealership performance in various arena .

He was honored by GOs,NGOs and various, organizations for his remarkable achievements in the field of Business strategy. Realising the potentiality of Indian fishing net Industry, as an Entrepreneur on right time, emerged the leader for Monofilament Yarn and fishing Net Industry. The company extended it wings under his navigation by opening export house, setting more than 400 dealership network all over India and branches of Automobile dealership .. Inspiration from Wall mart history his courage to compete the multinational players in retail sector accelerated the launch of three branches capturing the major market share.

His wife Mrs Kasturi Stalin BA (Eng.Litt),Son Derik Stalin BE (Mech) MS Management from UK and Miss Ronisha Stalin pursuing MBA as the Directors for all the companies makes the management concrete.

History of the Derik Group


The history of growth of Derik from a mere 2 wheeler showroom to a company with diversified operations goes back to

1987 seeded two wheeler show room with limited infra structures in capital center of cape district of tamilnadu, India 1988 Derik TVS started shouldering the sale of two wheelers in cape of comorin district of Tamilnadu, India with TVS motor company 1989 Derik Honda -setting hands with Honda siel for the distribution of generator sets. 1991 Anton Finance-To cater the finance needs of customers 1992 Derik tvs marthandam Extended the wings to outskirts ,setting up own showroom 1994 Derik industries Stepping into manufacturing sector- a fishing net manufacturing industry within the industrial estate area of kanyakumari ,Tamilnadu, India 1995 Derik Tvs-A break through - inauguration of 25,000 sq feet biggest showroom blessed by Mr.Venu Srinivasan CMD Tvs motor company ltd 1997 Derik industries - expansion of fishing net unit with Japanese machines. 1999 Derik Monofil- Stepping ahead with extrusion technology-Manufacturing of nylon yarn to meet the raw material requirement of fishing net manufacturing. 2000 Anton tvs- a dealership to beat the Kerala market - Crowned by TVS motor company for the best performance in tamilnadu. 2002 Derik monofil Unit 2-expansion of nylon yarn manufacturing 2003 Derik exports entry to export market

2004 Derik monofil Unit 3- A milestone in manufacturing sector with heavy production capacity and placed among the largest manufacturers of fishing nets in India. 2005 derik nets- Knitting ahead- imported high speed Japanese fishing net knitting machines of international standards-a factory end to end process under one roof. 2006 Derik Hyundai A feather on the crown by Hyundai motors India ltd to deal with Hyundai four wheelers in the southern end of Tamilnadu-One of biggest automobile showroom in South India 2007 Derik wind mills-Creep to energy generation sector-commissioning Vestas RRB wind mills in radhapuram at tirunelveli district of tamilnadu, India 2008 Derik Mart A courageous ignition to retail sector-Opened shopping mall of its own kind 2009 Derik mart two branches-rooted for yet another 200 branches. 2010 Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) commitment to safe guard nature- Foundation laid for the commissioning of Major Manufacturing Unit- an eco friendly project
