Thapar University Thapar University (TU) (Formerly Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology) is one of the four organizations located in the 250-acre campus, known as Thapar Technology Campus (TTC), in the historic city of Patiala. It came into existence in 1956 and became a deemed university in 1985. It is a premier institute of learning in India and is known for its excellence in teaching and research. TU offers PhD, 30 PG and 10 UG degree program in Engineering and Science. We offer a great work environment imbued in research and scholarship; extremely talented students; pristine lush green campus with world-class infrastructure. Department of Chemical Engineering is NBA, NAAC and ISO-900 certified and offers programmes in B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD. The princely city of Patiala is refreshingly quiet with opulent lush green cover dotting its entire landscape. Patiala is well connected by road and rail with New Delhi (4 hr.) and surrounding locales like Chandigarh (1 hr.), Amritsar (4 hr.), Shimla (5 hr.) and Ambala (1 hr.). The nearest airports are at Chandigarh, Amritsar and Delhi. Objective of the course The workshop will impart knowledge about Aspen-Hysys & Fluent software, which have become a standard modeling & simulation tool in Chemical Engineering in academia and industry the world over. This workshop will attempt to train and encourage the student community, academicians, scientists and delegates from industry persons to learn these tools. Eligibility/TA/Boarding/Lodging Students/ Teachers/Scientists working in AICTE/UGC/Govt. of India approved institutes or organizations are eligible to apply. Participants from Industry are also welcome. Boarding & Lodging will be arranged on request and on paid basis in the hostel-J having all the basic facilities. It will cost about Rs. 200/- to Rs. 300/- per day.
