Community Action is offering a unique opportunity for job seekers to learn and practice skills that are vital in obtaining and maintaining employment in todays tough job market.
Beginning in April, Community Action will begin a three-part Job Seekers Workshop Series designed to prepare job seekers for achieving their employment goals. Workshop 1: Job Search/Resume Building Workshop - Saturday, July 21, 2012, 1:30pm - 4:30pm Learn how to set goals related to your job search, where to look for jobs, and how to build a resume that shows employers your best attributes, experience, and skills set. Workshop 2: Mock Interview Workshop - Saturday, August 18, 2012, 1:30pm 4:30pm Learn how to prepare for an interview by participating in a mock interview with experienced professionals who will provide instant, helpful feedback that you can use on your next real job interview! Workshop 3: Maintaining Employment Workshop - Saturday, September 15, 2012, 1:30pm - 4:00pm Learn basic skills that nearly all employers want their ideal employees to have. Professionalism in the workplace, personal time management, workplace culture and other topics related to keeping the job you want.
