Categories of Software Hardware, Software and Firmware, System Software and Application Software., Types of system software, Packaged Software and Custom-Written Software 5. Database Systems Database Management Systems, Hierarchical Database, Network Database, Relational Database, Object-Oriented Database 6. System Software The Operating System, CPU Management, File Management, Task Management, Operating Systems: Linux, DOS, Windows and its applications and Network Operating Systems 7.
