Numerical Adjectives

Numerical expressions used as adjectives take the singular form when modifying nouns. For example, "a three foot long pipe", "a 10 litre flask", and "a 20 mile journey". When rewriting expressions with numerical adjectives, the singular form is used regardless of the quantity, such as "blocks of 21/2 tons" and "a squad of 1000 men".
