CHECKLIST FOR DISSERTATION

The dissertation should be survey based research (especially for Marketing students) . Qualitative Research can be adopted with the apporoval of guide. The report should contain the validation techniques adopted for qualtitaive research and enough evidences should be given . Both primary and secondary data should be used. For secondary data , sources should be given. Guidelines to Prepare Synopsis: 1) Synopsis should not exceeding 1500 words 2) Proposed contents of the Synopsis: (a) Introduction (Includes Research Motivation) (b) Problem Definition (Includes Research Objectives & Hypotheses) (c) Research Methodology (Includes Data Sources, Methods and Techniques of data collection and Analysis) (d) Statistical tools (e) Expected outcomes (f) References (APA Conventions) Checklist - Dissertation The following documents should be submitted during the dissertation: 1. Synopsis 2. Fortnightly reports -4 3. Rough draft 4. Final draft 5. Raw data sheet ( Excel or SPSS format which should cover the entire samples). 6. Statistical analysis results ( Excel or SPSS output format). 7. Questionaire to be approved by faculty guide before administering 8. Filled-in questionaires ( Soft copy or Hard copy)

Dissertation Report Structure Executive Summary Chapter1: Introduction: Introduction about the Study, Research Motivation, Problem Statement, Objectives, Need and Scope of the study, Limitations of the study Chapter 2: Literature Review (Only Scholarly Research articles should be reviewed with help of data bases) and Research Gap identification. Chapter 3: Research Methodology: Research Design, Data collection methods & sources, Sampling techniques, Tools of analysis Chapter 4: Data Analysis Chapter 5: Findings Chapter 6: Recommendations Conclusions Scope for Further Research References (APA Convention) Annexure
