How to Configure material or Variant Configuration. 1. Select configurable material indicator in Basic Data 2 view.

2. After that maintain configuration profile with class type 300 for configurable material (CU41). 3. Select Classification view in Material Master & Select Class Type 300 (Variant) in Classification view and define characteristic for it. 4. Maintain the configure material name & configure variant in Basic Data 2 view in material master. (We can maintain configure variant only after creation of configuration profile. The characteristics maintain in Classification view and maintain in Configure variant are same. Configuration profile status should be released; if it is block then we wont enter configuration values). Also following things should be maintain for configure material. Material type: Configurable Material (We can also use finished material type and configure it as a configurable material with help of option given Material is Configurable in Basic Data 2 view of material master.) GenItemCatGroup: - 0002 (Basic Data 1 view) GenItemCatGroup: - 0002 & Item category group: - 0002 (Basic Data 2 view) The difference b/w 0002 and 0004 is basically that of LUMF & ERLA. In 0002 the pricing happens at the Header Item Level. In 0004 the pricing happens at the Sub Item Level.
