ESSAY ABOUT END OF THE WORLD Since the beginning of the current history, the humanity always have

been interested in catastrophic or terrible ways to die, usually with natural disasters, divine punishment, asteroid impact or just a big war between powerful countries. This fear have made possible the growth of different sorts of myths, legends and prophecies that have fed the possible idea about End of the World. These theories have been written by civilization as old as Assyrians, Romans, Mayas, Essenes or Catholic people; respect to different personalities, can be found Martin of Tours, Christopher Colombus, Nicholas of Cusa and more. But maybe the most recognized in the current era was Michel de Ntre-Dame or more known as Nostradamus. However, you dont need to be a scientist or prophet to realize that global warming could be the main responsible of our apocalypse. Around the world, is too much common see lots and lots of natural disaster caused by climatic changes. Raining never-ending, earthquakes, floods, glides, hurricanes and stuff like that, is our bread of each day. Recently, in Durban (South Africa) industrialized countries have gotten together to discuss about Kyoto Protocol. Several warning has been listened like the continuous destruction of our forest, worried level of CO2 emission toward atmosphere and water contamination among others. These issues involve not only our current survival, but also the natural heritance for next generations. Any effort is valuable but, should be a genuine desire of countries like China, India and EEUU, to solve these terrible problems. In my opinion, End of the world could be caused by hand-man instead of prophecies or thousand-years-old prediction. We are able to improve our environment looking after the nature that surrounds us and teaching to each other since childhood to respect and value animal, plants and natural resources. Survivals of planet Earth depend on the capacity of Humanity to create and reinforce an environmental ethic whose principal goal should be built in favor of life.
