Qualitativeresearch,ontheotherhand,placeslessofan emphasisonnumbers,andmorevalueontheperspectivesofkeyinformantsknowledgeableabouta particulartopic. Theresearchundertakenusedacombinationofthesetwomethods. QuantitativeMethods Withtheincreaseinthenumberofsharkattacksinrecentyears,wefeltitimportanttoattempttolearn moreaboutthelocationofsharksinDeepBay. Thepurposeofsuchinformationwouldbetotellusif sharksareindeedfindingtheirwayclosertoshorethaninrecentyears. TheDataStorageTag(DST)isa miniaturedataloggerthatisattachedtofishandothermarineanimals (StarOddi2012).
