Working Principle of Vibration Sensor

Vibration sensors work on electromechanical principles and use either piezoelectric or resistance-based mechanisms to detect oscillations. Piezoelectric sensors detect vibration through changes in surface charge while resistance sensors detect vibration through changes in resistance from applied force. Both vertical and horizontal vibration sensors can be used but their orientation depends on the type of vibration being measured.

We can also use shock sensor to detect vibrations
