Security in Autonomic Defence Using Scada: Presented by

This document summarizes a security project that uses sensors and a microcontroller to detect intrusions. It presents the working principles of an ultrasonic sensor and metal detector sensor. Circuit diagrams show how the sensors and a relay are interfaced with an 89s52 microcontroller board. Tests were conducted to verify the sensors could successfully detect motion and metal. The components were then integrated into a SCADA system designed in Visual Basic. While most components worked as intended, there is potential for future improvements to the system.

GH-311 ULTRASOUND MOTION SENSOR

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The GH-311 sensor detects objects by emitting a short ultrasonic burst and then listening for the echo. Under control of a host microcontroller (trigger pulse), the sensor emits a short 40 kHz (ultrasonic) burst. This burst travels through the air, hits an object and then bounces back to the sensor The GH-311 sensor provides an output pulse to the host that will terminate when the echo is detected,
