Cell eukaryotes have a true nucleus while prokaryotes do not. Ribosomes in prokaryotes are smaller than those in eukaryotes. However, mitochondria and chloroplasts found in eukaryotic cells contain ribosomes similar in size and makeup to prokaryotic ribosomes.
