ACS Cobham has been accredited by the British Government as well as the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Teacher -First Grade Instruct all academic subject areas to First Grade students in an international school setting. Designed, developed and adapted curriculum to meet the individual, academic and social needs of my students with varying strengths and abilities, including children with special needs, gifted students and English Language Learners. Contributions & Achievements: First Grade Team Leader for 2011-2012 school year. Responsible for developing agenda for and leading biweekly First Grade team meetings. Took leadership role in Project I, a pilot project to use iPads in first and second grade classrooms, co-coordinating a research project to determine the effect of iPads on student engagement. Assessed student performance through formal and informal methods, such as anecdotal records, individual conferencing, checklists, student portfolios and the Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA). Assessed student outcomes with formative and summative assessments and use this feedback to inform instruction.
