Protection of personnel is considered in the design of fire protection systems. Credible hazards have been identified, assessed, understood, and documented. Every opportunity to minimize the hazards has been identified, considered, and, where practical, implemented. The capital investment and estimated operating expense is optimized with a view to minimizing hazards. Corporate goals can be met for the facilitys lifetime. Potential adverse effects on neighbors, community, and the environment are controlled. 4
