ABSTRACT Efficient water management is a major concern in many cropping systems in semiarid and arid areas. The main purpose of this project is to monitor the crop field in a wireless manner. Here we sense the temperature, moisture and water level in the well using temperature, humidity and flow sensor respectively. The PIC controller gets the output from the sensors. The sensor values monitored by the controller will be sent wirelessly to the users cell phone using SIM COM MODEM. The motor can be switched ON and OFF depending upon the level of water in the well. Here we use two motors for pumping water from well to field, sprinkling and a shunt motor for pumping water from field to well. Through SIM COM MODEM we get the message in the farmers mobile phone. Considering the above setup, the farmer can be benefited with the following uses: In the existing system we need a communicaon server to send mess(alarm) to the farmer also
