This lesson plan summarizes an English language lesson on body parts for a 4th year class. By the end of the lesson, pupils would be able to : 1. Tell the parts of the body by referring to the labelled pictures on the board with minimal error. 2. Spell correctly the words in the body parts by saying them aloud and repeating the sounds in words. 3. Write the spelling of names in parts of the body by pasting the words on their friends body. Analyze, tell, reproduce, apply, reflect and summarize. Self confident, active participation, and responsible.

Poster, handouts, and A4 papers. 1. Pupils have learnt about singular and plural. 2. Pupils have learnt basic names in parts of body.

Steps Set Induction (3 minutes)

Teaching Strategy 1. Teacher starts the class by asking the pupils a few questions. 2. Teacher introduces todays lesson.

Language Content T: Class, which part of your body that you use to touch? To see? To smile? To smell? T: Today we are going to learn on the body parts.

Notes CCTS: Tell MV: Responsible

Step 1: Labelling poster (10 minutes)

1. Teacher pastes a poster which is a picture of a girl and boy. In that poster, there are labelling spaces of humans body parts. 2. Teacher also distributes the same picture to the pupils for them to see, learn, and copy the words. 3. Teacher asks pupils the name of each part of the body that they already knew. 4. Teacher introduces some new parts that the pupils might not have known. 5. Teacher highlights the singular and plural nouns of those body parts.

T: Now, this is a picture of our body parts.

CCTS: Analyze MV: Active participation and self confident. Teaching Aids: Handouts and poster. LO 1

T: Can someone tell me what this is? And this?

T: If there are two arms, what should we add? T: Azril, could you please spell the word of wrist? CCTS: Tell and reproduce MV: Active participation and self confident.

Step 2: Spelling (3 minutes)

1. Teacher asks some pupils to spell the words and repeat after her. 2. Teacher makes correction when necessary.

Teaching Aids: Poster LO 2 Step 3: Label my body (12 minutes) 1. Teacher calls for one pupil to come to the front and stand as a model. 2. Teacher asks some pupils to write the names of body parts in the paper provided and paste it on the particular parts of their friends body. 3. Teacher checks the answers and makes correction if necessary. T: Class, now I want one volunteer to come to the front and stand here. T: The rest, these are some papers and I want you to write down the names of the body parts and paste them on your friends body parts. CCTS: Apply MV: Responsible and self confident. Teaching Aids: A4 Papers LO 3

Closure (2 minutes)

1. Teacher elicits pupils response on what have been learned today. 2. Teacher ends the class.

T: Class, what have you learned today? T: We have learned on the parts of the body. So Irfan, what is this?

CCTS: Reflect and summarize. MV: Responsible
