1. Pass Requirements : (i) First appearance : 40% in University Exam for each subject and a GPA of 5.0; (ii) 40% for University Exam & 75 for Sessional Mark and University Mark put together in the case of subsequent appearances and subject wise pass. 2. Classification: (i) First Class with Distinction: CGPA 7.5 or above; (ii) First Class: CGPA 6 or above & less than 7.5 [Applicable only for candidates passing all the subjects of eight semesters within five academic years (ten consecutive semesters after the commencement of his/her course of study)]. (iii) Second Class: All other successful candidates who passed the B.Tech Degree Examinations. 3. Grade Point Average (GPA) = [(Credit x Marks earned for the subject / Maximum Marks for the Subject) / Credits] x 10 4. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) = (Credits for semester x GPA earned for the semester) / Credits for the semester . Maximum CGPA=10. 5. Imp/Sup means Improvement or Supplementary Examinations; A means Absent and NA means Not Applicable.

In the tables, A to be marked for Absent and NA to be marked in all blank cells. Only the highest mark scored in improvement / supplementary examination (if appeared) need to be mentioned in the Imp./Sup. column. The Exam Code and Month & Year of all examinations taken by the Candidate are to be included in the respective tables of semesters in the order of their appearances. Transcript of marks should be prepared on Legal or Folio size paper (on both sides in a single sheet). One extra copy of the Transcript of Marks is to be submitted for office use in addition to required number of transcripts.

Attested photocopies of mark lists of every appearance in each semester and attested photocopy of Degree or Provisional certificate if obtained are to be submitted along with the application and fee receipt. 11. The fee for issue of the transcript of marks is Rs. 1000/- per copy (subject to change).
