Rtorr: Zoning Comparison

The document compares zoning standards for the Rural (R) and Rural Residential (RR) zones. The RR zone is intended to preserve rural areas for agriculture, residential uses, recreation, and environmental protection. Standards for detached houses include larger minimum lot sizes and widths in the RR zone compared to the R zone. The RR zone also has larger minimum front, side, and rear setbacks. The maximum building height and lot coverage are the same for both zones.

Existing development in the Rural Zone Side Section of Structure (Main Building) Height is proposed to be measured from the average grade to the mean height level between eaves and ridge of a gable, hip, mansard, or gambrel roof or to the highest point of roof surface of a flat roof.

Rationale for Changes Marked in Red Sum of Side Setbacks, Interior The proposed zoning code removes the Sum of Side Setbacks requirement since it is redundant.
