ONSTREAM TELECOM Objective: The main objective of this project is to automate the services provided by telecom system, by which

customer can use all the services online. Telecom industry is one of the major sectors, which provides so many services to their customers such as request for a new connection, change of number, billing etc. Maintaining all these services manually is complicated process. Existing System: The existing system is a manual one where the customer has to go to the Telecom Company to make a request for connection. For each and every need a customer has to contact the nearest office. This requires that the customer has to spend some time and effort. Proposed System: The proposed system is a web based application and provides well defined interfaces. The system maintains a centralized repository of all information. The system allows customers to apply for connections online. They can also make enquiries and pay bills online. The system allows one to access the desired information very quickly. Modules: The system is proposed to have the following modules:
Applications, Entries, Enquiries and Complaints, Authentication

Applications: The Applications module provides following services. A customer can apply for a new telephone connection by filling the form. one can request for transferring phone connection to another location. one can modify the mode of bill payment details. one can also cancel his phone connection. Entries: The Entries module allows to record old and new telephone numbers whenever they are changed. These details can be accessed by customers at a later time.

Enquires: The Enquiries module provides following services: The customer can make a request about ones bill. Customer can also know the information about changed numbers. Customer can also ask about the status of applications. Complaints: Customers can lodge complaints about services and other issues such as disconnections, faulty bills etc. Authentication Module: This module contains all the information about the authenticated users. User without his username and password cant enter into the login if he is only the authenticated user then he can enter to his login and then he will have authorization based upon their roles Software: Technologies Database IDE Hardware: Processor RAM : Pentium : 1GB : ASP .Net and C# .Net : MS-SQL Server 2005 : Ms-Visual Studio .Net 2008
