The document discusses the author's on-the-job training experience with EEI Corporation over 4 weeks where they learned various construction tasks like computing excavation volumes, concrete volumes, cutting lists, and paperwork.

During the first week, the author was assigned to compute the volume of structural excavation considering a depth of -3m from NGL for various building components. They also learned to use a topographic map and about excavation differing due to uneven land.

During the second week, the author was asked to compute the volume of concrete required for footings, walls, columns, footing tie beams.

Weekly report
FIRST WEEK First week on our on the job training and we are so excited to be a part of EEI corp. inc. since we heard that this company is the biggest construction company in Philippines. After our orientation they divided us to each subcontractor. Fortunately, Ms.Joan Garrigo, Ms. Joy Marie Esquierdo and I, was assigned to MORABE CONSTRUCTIO SUB-CON under the project superintendent, Engr. Hassan Cabelin First week, he gave us an assignment to: 1.Compute for the volume of the structural excavation Considering a depth of -3m from N.G.L. both for the main building, auxiliary building and perimeter fence. Somehow its a little bit confusing. Honestly, I learned to use the metric scale only here. I learned that excavation differs since the land is not plane of course, and thats the time I referred to the topographic map of the property. Together with the excavation a standard of 0.5m working space is on every side. 2.Compute for the G-2 stabilizer An stabilizer under every footing because the soil is weak. 3.Compute for the structural backfill This one is confusing. Before arriving for the volume of backfill and filling material, we compute first for the total volume of columns 3m below N.G.L., footings, G-2 stabilizer & footing tie beams.

4.Compute for the aggregates This is the volume of concrete mix for slabs. SECOND WEEK We were asked to compute for the volume of concrete. The footings/wall, footings, columns, footing tie beams, walls. THIRD WEEK I did the cutting list. Computing for the number of RSB needed according to the plan. And also estimate the number of CHB for the perimeter fence. FOURTH WEEK We are trusted to do the paper works, like the request forms subject for reinforcing bars and formworks inspection and areas subject for pouring. And were also asked to compute for the actual volume of concrete, so we measure the actual size of the footing. I enjoyed doing field works.
