Study various motherboards- non-integrated, semi-integrated & integrated Familiarise different form factors Understand the motherboard components Familirise the different types of expansion slots (ISA, EISA,PCI, AMR ) Study the expansion cards namely add-on-cards ( audio, graphics, i/o, tv tuner etc.)

6. Study different types of switch mode Power Supply AT, ATX, NLX 7. Understand the power requirement for various components in a system 8. Study the different connectors and ports of a PC 9. Understand the various cables in a computer system 10. Familiarise the different types of memory modules 11. Study various secondary storage systems-Floppy drive/disk, Hard Disk, Flash drives, CD 12. Understand the internal structure of Hard Drive, Floppy drive , CD Drive 13. Understand the procedure of assembling a computer system 14. Study the various techniques for low level , high level formatting 15. Familiarise the hard disk partitioning using different tools 16. Study the procedure for installing Operating System Linux & Windows 17. Familiarise the management of operating system components 18. Understand the procedure for application software installation 19. Study of various printers ( dot matrix, inkjet & laser, multifunction) 20. Familisrise the interfacing of printers and installing driver software 21. Understand the inferfacing, installation, working of various devices such as scanner, projector etc 22. Understand the system maintenance & troubleshooting.
