AENEID

BOOK 7 1.) The Trojans sail close to the shores of the Island of Circe. 2.) There is a part in Italy called Latium. 3.) Aeneas plans the walls of their first settlement in Latium. 4.) Juno can't stop destiny and calls Allecto for help. First Plan: Allecto inflamed the heart of Queen Amata. Second: The fury that drove Turnus to rage and the insanity of wanting war. Third: Allecto incites the Trojans who are out hunting to pursue tame stag. BOOK 8 1.) When Turnus called for a war, those who have joined him send ambassadors to seek help from a city built in Italy. 2.) Aeneas also seeks help from a Greek City. 3.) Aeneas sails with two ships up the Tiber to the kingdom of the Archadian Evander. 4.) Meanwhile, Venus coaxes her husband Vulcan into making arms for Aeneas. 5.) Aeneas with hosts, hold a council. 6.) Thunder rolls, and they see a gleam of weapons.

7.) Evander says farewell to his son. 8.) Before approaching the Tuscans, Aeneas and his men rest. 9.) Vulcan has depicted on the shield of Italy and the triumphs of Rome. Book 9 1.) Juno sends Iris down from heaven to stir Turnus to battle. 2.) Turnus planned to take up firebrands to set the Trojan ships on fire. 3.) Nisus and Euryalus, set to guard one of the Trojan gates. They decided to win the prize that has been offered to anyone whi will slip through the enemy ranks. 4.) Turnus and his men march into battle. 5.) Turnus finds himself inside the Trojans' wall alone, the Trojans fleeing before him.
