Standing in The Shadows by

A man stood in the shadows, silently expressing his love through his demeanor and expressions. Though love rested on his tongue and played upon his lips as he patiently waited for the right moment, the words were never said and the moment never came. Unbeknownst to the woman, through his silent tears and unspoken words as moments passed, he expressed his love for her as much as any poem ever could. Yet she did not see him there in the shadows, crying with his feelings unsaid, unheard, and unshared, as moments slowly went by and a little of him died each time.

I saw him standing in the shadows by. .

. . LOVE hidden in his heart. . LOVE , as an unsaid word, did rest upon his tongue . LOVE, as a quiet smile, did play upon his lips . LOVE, as a patient wait, did live the moments by . a wait, for the moment, right. A wait, for the proper words. A wait ,for the winds to cease a Wait, for the lights to die.. . . . And an Eternal wait. . . The moment, that never came the words, that were never said In Silence, tears were shed. . Though, Little did he know. . Spoken, he had, of Love. . .In those Silent tears, in those, Unspoken words in those, moments of wait he had Spoken of Love as much as I never could have, ever put in a poem . Yet, She hadn't seen him there. . She hadn't seen him Cry His words, Unsaid, Un heard His Love, Unfelt, Unshared . Standing in the shadows there. . .As moments went slowly by ..I saw him Live and Die . .A little, .By and By. . . (dedicated to a friend.)
