Motivation
Physical Distances Limit Doing Experiments Sharing of Costly Equipment Quality Labs
Today most equipment come with a computer interface for control and data storage. It is possible to design experiments around some of these equipment which would enhance the learning of students. Internet-based experimentation further permits use of resources knowledge, software, and data available on the web

Trial runs are underway Feedback is being collected in order to refine the Virtual Labs
Intended Users
College Students who do not have access to expensive equipment/ lab-facilities. High-school students, whose imagination will be triggered, possibly motivating them to take up higher-studies. Researchers in different institutes who can collaborate and share expensive equipment and resources. Different engineering colleges, who can benefit from the content and related teaching resources.
Feedback
From expert committee members From actual users
Mid-term evaluations
The pilot phase had two Mid-term evaluations Members of the Expert committee look at the actual demonstrations and provide a feedback The lab-proposals for the main DPR have been in accordance with the evaluation criteria set by the mid-term evaluations and feedback.
Trial Runs
Each faculty developing a virtual lab will get the lab technically evaluated by an expert The feedback from field trials are being documented, analyzed and used for refining the experiments Workshops are being organized to educate local colleges and use them for trial runs
