Media Script

Kate is alone in her house preparing dinner when strange events begin to occur. As she chops vegetables, the lights flicker on and off. When Kate turns around, a cloaked figure is standing behind her. It muffles her screams with its hand and drags her away. - Black screen with titles Fade in - *when a rage builds up inside someone,* - Fade out Fade in and is trapped for centuries Fade In - *souls disappear* - Fade Out Fade In - *Sanity Disappears* - Fade Out Fade In - *People disappear* - Fade Out

- Scene starts with Kate looking in the mirror, no expression, no emotion, almost disgusted with herself. Only from her shoulders up are visible. Shes staring at herself. The house is silent, almost dead. The sense of danger or unnaturalness is lingering in the air and the audience can tell that Kate can vaguely sense it.

- She undoes the lid of a tablet container and takes some, whilst still looking at herself, contemplating herself.

- She proceeds to wash her hands and as she moves to the towel rail to dry them, a figure in a body length black robe is visible in the bedroom at the end of the corridor.

- A view is seen from the eyes of the hooded figure for a couple of seconds and heavy breathing can be heard

- Kate exits and walks downstairs to the kitchen, pulls out a chopping board, opens the fridge and removes some carrots and begins to chop them.

- Her phone rings and as she answers the phone, smiling, when she sees who it is

Kate: Hey dad, how was your day?

Pause as the caller responds

Kate: Busy?

Pause as the caller responds

Kate: Okay, hurry up because itll get cold alright

- The lights flicker on and off

- Kate looks up at the ceiling confused and cautiously gets back to making the dinner

Kate: I think we just had a power shortage

Kate turns around to put the waste in the bin and the cloaked figure is standing right behind her. She flinches and her phone falls to the floor, she screams as the hooded figure cups its hand over her mouth and hauls her forcefully out the room. The last things heard are Kates screams. Fade Out
