MAIL CADDY CONSTRUCTION

1. Follow step 1 of the Basic Instructions to construct the front section.


ANIMAL EYES: Dark part of each eye is a foil overlay. Before soldering animal
front, place a piece of 1/2" foil or overlapped pieces of narrower foil on eye
area. Carefully carve away extra foil with craft knife, leaving circle shape. Rub
down well. When soldering, flow solder over entire foil area.
FUCHSIA STAMENS: Use thinnest possible foil for the center stamen which is
also a glass joining line. Solder panel as usual, front and back, then tack in place
bent lengths of tinned #20 copper wire for remaining stamens.
2. Construct by following the Basic Box Instructions, steps 2 through 8. These are actually four-
sided boxes, though they may not look like it. The sides of the puppy and kitty caddies will slant
outward.
3. Clean, patina if desired. Enjoy.
