Aims of teaching

Important and difficult points

1. What is description?
2. The comprehension and appreciation of the words describing
sound, colour, light, heat, size and smell.
3. The appreciation of the words and expressions used for stress and
exaggeration.
4. Some useful expressions such as to make a point of, it is a point of
honour…, and etc.

Pieces (1962), which was intended for students preparing for the
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency Examination, & for students in
the top class of secondary schools or in the first year of a university
