CELTA at ITI Face-to-face interview instructions


Thank you for submitting your online application form. involves three stages: Stage 1 Language Analysis and Awareness Complete the questions using the template provided (a Word document) and return it to [email protected]. complete these questions to a satisfactory level as it is necessary to have some


basic language awareness before starting the CELTA (otherwise you will find the course very difficult indeed). Stage 2 Interview Task Stage 2 takes place at the school on the day of your interview and takes around 45 minutes to complete. You will be asked to: complete a short written essay (approx. 300 words) complete some questions to further check your language awareness before your oral interview begins. Stage 3 Oral interview The oral interview is an opportunity for us to get to know you and assess your suitability for doing the course. It will take approximately 30 minutes and may sometimes be conducted in small groups. We will ask you about your background, any experience you have that may be relevant to the course, and your reasons for wanting to gain the CELTA teaching award. Please also have ready any questions you would like to ask us.
