Introduction
Last week, I have been to Side, a city in Turkey, for a holiday. I have done a lot of nice things, but the most outstanding was the trip to the House with Consoles. We went there on the 17th of October. The guide told us al lot of interesting things. The House with Consoles is located near the city. You see a contradiction. This old building next to a shopping centre.

House with consoles The house with consoles is on the north side of the Agora and behind the shops street (which has a row of pillars) in Side, a city in Turkey. The house can be entered from different sides. As well from the east as from the west. Its name has been given by archaeologists because of the finds of consoles which supported the upper floor that may have collapsed after a fire. Its plan consists of various rooms around the courtyard in the center part of the house. Some of the rooms have mosaic floors. There is also a fountain and canalization system inside the house. The house was built in the Hellenistic period and used until the Byzantine period.

The square shaped Commercial Agora is situated on the North side of the theater. A gate on the west side of the building is the opening to the colonnaded street. Another colonnaded street, partly invisible, connects the Commercial Agora to the state Agora. The sides of the Agora are formed by stoas built with granite columns and behind the stoas on the west, south and north sides, there are shops. In the centre of the Agora are the remains of the circular planned temple of Tyche and northwest corner there is the latrina building. The visible remains of the remains belong to the 2nd century A.D. and the building remained in use during the Byzantine period.

Conclusion
A visit to these historical building is very easy. Everyone who wants to go shopping in Side sees this building. Most people go to the city by dolmus . This is a kind of bus which means packed. The bus stop is nearby the historical building. You cant avoid walking by the building if you want to go shopping in Side. Everyone sees something from history of Side. So next to shopping you also get a historical touch. I would recommend it to everyone. You got the idea your holiday was instructional.
