From 2003 to the present, Iraq has struggled to establish itself as a stable republic while the Kurdistan Regional Government has rebuilt the Kurdish region from the destruction of the Saddam Hussein regime. While infrastructure projects have been completed in Basra, health and education have not improved elsewhere in Iraq. In contrast, the Kurdish region has established security and economic development, attracting immigrants from other ethnic groups, though Turkish military operations have recently killed Kurdish civilians near the border.

From 2003 to now and Iraq trying be a complete republic but to now nothing series.

Now in Basra they build a sport city for Gulf Cup in 2013 and some other projects,but there is no evolution in other subjects like health, education, etc... . That in middle and south of Iraq but In Kurdistan (Where i live) its safe and its look like a heaven inside the after 2003 and KRG began to rebuild Kurdistan from beginning because the Baathist regime began to distroy the Kurdish vellege in Anfal 1988 that killed 182,000 Kurd civilians and then The use of chemical weapons in Halabja in west of Kurdistan. And now in 2011 Kurdistan is the safest and even Arabs, Turkmans and Other Nationality live in Kurdistan, and we have the biggest projects in meddle east is found in Hawler and Sulaimaniya. but from a week and the Turkish army is bombing the north border of Kurdistan and Killing Kurdish people The pretext of the existence of Kurdish activists.
