Android 2.2 orfroyo is a mobile platform operating system. It carries many new features for users and developers. Android 2.2froyosmart phonehas a homescreen tips widget that aids users on how to configure the home screen with shortcuts as well as widgets on how to make use of multiple home screens. The application launcher and browser have dedicated shortcuts on the homescreen. This makes it easy to access these shortcuts from any of the five home screen panels. It has a just-in-time compiler that makes it much faster than its predecessor Android 2.1 and is claimed by Google to have to worlds fastest mobile browser. The Android smart phone can beused as a 3G connection for a Windows or Linux laptop. This is done by connecting the phone to the computer with a USB cable allowing the connection to be shared between the two devices. Bluetooth features include voice dialing and the ability to share contact with other phones. There is support for bluetooth enabled car and desk docks. Android 2.2 also, has improved compatibility matrix with car kits and headsets.For iPhones, there is no syncing required. This is due to the fact that with android froyo there is no need to tether the phone when downloading an application to it. Instead, the update will automatically be installed over the air to the device. Other features include multiple languages which can be added to the keyboard and switch between multiple Latin based input languages by swiping across the space bar changing the keys and the auto suggest dictionary. Also included is improved security with the addition of numeric pin or alpha numeric password choices which are used to unlock the device.

The features and technologies in Android froyo will revolutionalize the way users manipulate their smart phones homescreen tips widget, browse the web, and turn you phone into a hotspot among other exciting and useful features.
