Imagesoft - From Oracle Medical Systems - Proper Installation procedure

STEP 1
9 Load Windows 98 Second Edition
9 Load all drivers of motherboard CD. See there is no error/conflicts in device manager.
Load DirectX-9. You can look for DirectX 9 (in Imagesoft setup CD).

STEP 2
Load Card Driver98 from the Imagesoft CD

STEP 3
Load Imagesoft
Double Click on Setup Icon. Follow the instructions as guided by Imagesoft setup wizard.

STEP 4 Install Capture Card in PCI slot


Shut down the PC. Open CPU cover to install Capture card on CPU motherboard.
Now plugin the capture card in PCI slot. Tighten the card with Screw.
STEP 5
Install HASP DEVICE (DONGLE) at parallel port
Screw the HASP DEVICE (DONGLE KEY) at the PC's Parallel port.

STEP 6
Configuring the Software First Time for Regular Use
Start Imagesoft-Basic From Programs Æ Imagesoft
Create a New Patient By Pressing F2 key. Press ' Enter↵ ' or Click on Capture Button. You enter into
"Capture Mode". If the Video Cable is connected to your system you will get real time display on your PC
monitor. If there is no video Input there will be a Blue (blank) Screen .

Set the following parameters :


1) Video Source PAL B,D,G,H,I
2) Video Format. 768X576

¾ In `Video format' set


9 Image Dimensions should be set to 768X576 or Full
9 Image Format can be set to 15 bit RGB
Click OK to register the changes
Still Images are best captured in Full window i.e. 768 x 576 Image Dimension.
To capture Real time Video Image dimensions May have to be changed to 384 X 288 or ½ in some PC's.
Reconfirm the Video Source Settings by pressing F12 and again reconfirm Video Format settings by
pressing F11 in capture mode.

¾ In `Video Source' set


ƒ VIDEO STANDARD to PAL - B,D,G,H,I AND
ƒ VIDEO CONNECTOR to S VIDEO
‰ Do not change HUE

Initial Configuring { Initial Checklist }


9 Is Dongle lock connected to the parallel port?
9 Is the Video cable connected to Video In of Capture card?
9 Is another end of video cable connected to Video OUT of Video Device?
9 Is Imagesoft installed properly on the PC?

­ SETTING REMOTE SWITCH


Start Æ Setting Æ Control Panel Æ Game Controllers
Double Click on Game Controllers
Click on Add button. Select 2-Button game pad (generally its Fifth option from top in windows 98)
Click OK

HEADERS
1. Put your Hospital Name (Header for Text Reports) in header.rtf in Imagesoft Folder.
2. In File ÆPreferences, Click On ‘Clinical Titles’ Tab. Enter the Name of your Hospital / Clinic to be
printed on top of ‘Images’ Printout.
