    Global Warming Harms the Environment
    Global warming is the increase in the Earths temperature. This changes the climate. Global
    climate change has different effects on the Earths environment. Some of these effects
    could be;
    rises in sea levels

    floods in some places

    droughts in some places

    lakes and rivers could dry up

    severe storms

    some plants or animals becoming extinct

    In some regions of the world, such as the polar region, the ice caps are melting. This leads to
    a rise in sea levels. When the water rises coastal lands are covered with water. This affects
    plants, wildlife and humans. In some places in the world, some hot regions will become hotter.
    In other places there will be higher rainfall.
    Global warming is caused by human activity. It is the release of harmful gases into the air,
    which trap the heat energy from the sun. This makes the planet warmer. This is called the
    Greenhouse Effect. Scientists are worried that these climate changes will endanger many
    living things. We are all global citizens of the world. The future of our plant lies with all of
    us. We need to change our consumer habits and find other energy sources.
