301 495-4731 Issues and concepts presented and discussed: Environmental resource inventory of planning area. County-wide Ground Water Protection Strategy and other water quality issues Water and Sewer issues relating to sewer envelope and implications of development on the Patuxent River watershed. Implications of impervious surfaces throughout the planning area. Protection strategies for environmentally sensitive resources such as forest banking, easement programs, cluster development with conservation easements, open space dedication, park acquisition and Legacy Open Space acquisitions. TASK FORCE MEETINGS COMPLETED The final meeting of this task force was held on Tuesday, September 30, 2003. Environmental recommendations for this master plan will be presented and discussed during the MPRC meeting in November. Recommendations for MPRC Review: Recommendations for sewer and/or water extension to developable properties (as impacted by Land Use Task Force). Recommendations for land use and regulations to protect the Patuxent River watershed (as impacted by Land Use Task Force). Encourage open space protection as recommended by Legacy Open Space (in Parks, Recreation, Open Space Task Force).
