A simulation is an imitation of some real thing, state of affairs, or process. The act of simulating something generally entails representing certain key characteristics or behaviors of a selected physical or abstract system. Simulation is used in many contexts, including the modeling of natural systems or human systems in order to gain insight into their functioning. Note: This is not a step-by-step description of how to do something this is animated visual of how something works. Design a simulation in Flash that show how something works. A product A scientific principle or phenomenon A physics principle Begin by defining your audience. Determine age, sophistication and situation where your audience might view this simulation. You will turn this in (see below). Research your chosen subject. Simplify your information to what is important and necessary. Keep in mind your intended audience. Include audience interactivity. Your viewer should be able to repeat or review an animation or piece of information. Create the simulation in Flash. Use techniques of motion including movement of parts up, down or diagonal, rotation, motion forward or backward, etc Storyboard your ideas. This will help you visualize your project before you start. Your simulation presentation should include: A preloader Descriptive or informational text to accommodate animation. Sound (either sound effect appropriate for subject, narration, music intro/outro or sound in button Use button(s) to control movieclip (should be able to stop/start animation). Include definitions of any terminology that maybe unfamiliar to the viewer. Images and graphic choices are appropriate for intended audience and subject matter. Create your simulation within a movie clip (not on the main timeline). Turn in to my dropbox ONE folder containing the Native Flash file. Due: MW Class October 19th
