    PROJECT DETAILS 1.Title: Driverless Train Team Size: 5 Role: Team member. Project Details: The theme of this project is to design an automatic train which runs without a human control. The design is based on 8051 microcontroller and various interfaces like RF Transmitter and Receiver, IR sensors, DC motor etc. In this the IR waves generated have the frequency of 36 KHz. The IR transmitter is placed in the train and receiver on the track. The output of the IR receiver is connected to the microcontroller (AT89C51), with that interrupt it will stop the train at that station. The doors of the train will be opened and closed only at the stations. The door open/close will be controlled by the motors. In this we are also providing security at the railway gate with automatic close of the gate when train is approaching near to the gate. One more advantage in this application is to avoid the accidents if there is any breakage in the track .Advanced RF communication is used for signaling.
