This document summarizes the patching of a Hewlett Packard Brio BAx BIOS to support hard disk drives larger than 32GB and 64GB using a BIOS patching tool. Specifically: 1) The BIOS was patched from an original OEM string of "HW.27.10(QHW.10.01)" to continue supporting hard disk drives up to 128GB in size. 2) The patching tool successfully decompressed and modified portions of the BIOS related to hard disk drive size calculations and INT13h extensions to allow recognition of drives larger than 32/64GB. 3) The checksum of the modified BIOS was also successfully updated.
