Serial:

1. Click the Start Button 2. Click on Settings 3. Open Control Panel 4. Once in Control Panel click to open PC Connection (see figure1). Make sure there is a check mark next to "Enable direct connections to the desktop computer" (see figure2) 5. Then click on Change connection, Once in Change connection menu, scroll down to choose Serial 11520 by click on arrow on the right hand side (see figure 3)

6. Click OK and you should see Serial 115200 on top of Change connection (see figure 4) 7. Click OK on the top right hand side and proceed to Changing Call Time (see below).

Changing Call Time


Before connecting Scanner to the network change the connection time to 10sec. 1. Click the Start button. 2. Click on Settings 3. Open Network and Dial-up Connection (see figure 5)

4. Once in Network and Dial-up Connection screen, Press and hold the Serial 115200 icon (see figure 6) to get a submenu (see figure 7) then from this submenu, click to open Property

5. Once in properties, if you are using USB leave as is. If using Serial click on the arrow located on the right hand side of screen and choose the proper serial connection (see figure 8). 6. Then click on Configure (see figure 8)

7. Click on Call Options and change from 5 sec to 10sec (see figure 9 and figure 10). Once the time has been changed, click OK on the top right hand side. Click OK once again

8. Exit out and the unit is ready to begin the connection and configuration process* *Please refer to the "MC3090 Install and Config Instructions" to set up and configure the scanner

Keep in mind if you do a cold boot unit will reset to its factory settings so you would have to repeat these steps once again.
