74158-mt - Advanced Digital Signal Processing

This document contains 8 questions for an Advanced Digital Signal Processing exam. The questions cover topics such as: 1) Applications of DSP in speech coding and SONAR and different signal processing methods. 2) Relationships between the discrete Fourier transform and discrete time Fourier series, and using the fast Fourier transform to compute the short-time Fourier transform. 3) Design and implementation of a two-stage decimator and applications of multirate DSP. The questions require explanations of concepts like discrete wavelet transforms, periodogram smoothing, factorization algorithms, and recursive least squares algorithms. Spectral estimation using subspace eigen-analysis is also addressed.
