Teen Challenge of the Midlands Acquires Nebraska Boy s Ranch Ranch Will Be Utilized as an Adolescent Boy s Center The campus of the former Nebraska Boy s Ranch, south of Alliance, Nebraska was donated byAndy Company to Teen Challenge of the Midlands, with centers in Iowa and Nebraska, based in Colfax, Iowa. Andy Company purchased the Nebraska Boy s Ranch from the Snow Redfern Memorial Foundation in May, 2011, and the donation of the campus to Teen Challenge was finalized in June. The officers and directors of Andy Company are Harold and Madelyn Anderson and their sons Doug Anderson and Phil Anderson, all of Broadwater, Nebraska. Previously, the Nebraska Boy s Ranch operated from 1965 until 2010, and served over 900 youth from across the country. Former Executive Director of the ranch, Stan Bills, says money from the sale of the ranch will increase the vision of the foundation, and enable them to reach even more troubled youth and their families. He is excited about Teen Challenge acquiring the campus because he says it enables the foundation to support what Mrs. Redfern wanted; to serve children. The donation is an answer to prayer for Teen Challenge of the Midlands. Regional Director, Warren Hunsberger says, Since 2005, we ve been praying for an adolescent center. In our prayers, we called it the Teen Challenge of the Midlands Oregon Trail Boy s Ranch, and here we are being offered this campus just a few miles off the old Oregon Trail. It s an answer to prayer, and a tremendous opportunity. Teen Challenge of the Midlands exists to bring Christ-centered hope to hurting men and women. With the addition of the Boy s Ranch, we are able to put the TEEN back in Teen Challenge, and help troubled youth find new life in Christ. I want the Teen Challenge Boy s Ranch to be a place where adolescent boys are getting ministered to. To get away from their environment, focus on what s important, re-prioritize, and become men of God; that s what thisranch will enable them to do, Teen Challenge of the Midlands Omaha, Nebraska Director, Adam Forney.
