Michigan State University has a comprehensive program of merit scholarships, many made possible by the generosity of alumni and friends of the university. Admitted students are automatically considered for scholarships. For maximum consideration, apply for admission by November 1. Funding is limited, and awards cannot be guaranteed for students who apply for admission after November 1. In most cases, the application and required personal statement suffice for scholarship consideration. For more information about Michigan State Universitys international admission requirements, please visit www.admissions.msu.edu. In addition to having the opportunity to apply for the numerous scholarships available at Michigan State University, a select group of students will be invited to become members of the Honors College. Invitation for membership is based on students receiving a minimum SAT score (critical reading and math) of 1360 or ACT score of 30, as well as being in the top 5 percent of their graduating class. Honors College members have the ability to enroll in special honors courses, have enrollment priority and one-on-one advising, and have the option of living on an honors floor in certain residence halls.
