2. Make sure to follow the below link if your system uses DHCP connection.

How to install the Microsoft Loopback adapter in Windows XP 3. Unzip all the downloaded files in a single folder.

4. Start database services.

5. Run the rcu.bat from following location and follow the instructions.

Click Next

Select Create and Click Next

Enter Database connection details and click Next

If you get Repository Creation Utility warning about character set, you can ignore the warning. ( Click Ignore).

Click OK

Select create a new Prefix and select Oracle Business Intelligence from the component list. Note that AS Common Schemas gets selected by default. Click Next

Click OK.

Select Use same password for all schemas and enter password and Click Next

Review Tablespaces and click Next or Click on Manage Tablespaces button to change the tablespace parameters. (Note the tablespace names. It will be used later during OBIEE installation).

Change the table space parameters and click OK

Click OK

Click OK

Click Create

Check the status as Success and Click Close. 6. OBIEE Installation Run the setup.exe from following location (unzipped files location)

Click Next

Click on Simple Install and click Next

Click Next

Choose Middleware Home and click Next

Enter Administrator username and password. Click Next

Select the components to install and click Next

Enter database details (from repository creation steps) and click Next

Can ignore this step if you dont want to receive security updates from Oracle. Click Next

Review installation details (Click on Save button to save installation details to a file) and click Install.

Select appropriate folders when prompted.

After 100 % configuration click Next

Installation is complete. Click Finish You can access the analytics at http://localhost:9704/analytics.
